Let’s today try something new
To ourselves be fair and true
Let’s forgive our flaws today
With a smile let’s greet the day
Why not throw away self doubts
Let’s be lazy under the clouds
We’ll sit by the river with a good book
The world we’ll see, not just look!
Let’s forget our age and dignity,
Just be awesome and bomdiggity!

I was standing on a balcony overlooking a mountain,
No clue how I got there,
Hot tea warmed my hands, and its aroma drew my smile,
My eyes sparkled just like the stream,
I knew this because I felt it.
The sky was gold and pink and orange,
The sun set the clouds on fire.
The birds sang their carefree songs,
Leaving me envious of their freedom.
And just when it seemed to me,
This must be heaven, what more can be perfection…
The wind came frolicking in from nowhere,
Taking my breath along with it.
The wonderful wind, she smelled like rain,
Like hope and nostalgia,
She gathered up my dark hair,
And whispered in my ear.
This was when my dream ended,
And I cannot remember what she whispered
All I am left with is ‘maybe-s’ and and ‘perhapses’.
But she had been all over the world,
So perhaps she told me of her travels,
All the sights she’d seen and people she’d met,
All the scents and all the flavors.
Maybe she even asked me to join her,
Knowing I could not deny.
Forevermore, for all my life,
I’ll wonder what she said,
Until perhaps on a windy day,
I’ll be standing on a mountain side,
Watching the clouds on fire,
When she’ll come up to me,
Gather up my hair,
And whisper in my ear.

Far far away, is a magical land,
Of fierce mountains and shining sand.
With tiny fairies and scary pirates,
Cute garden gnomes and friendly primates.
If you’re lucky, you’ll even meet some dolphins,
If you’re good, I’ll show you some munchkins.
Clouds of dreams,
And frolicking streams…
Into this magic land, once you have found your way,
Mark my words my friend you will, forever want to stay…
Lush green grass, wet with morning dew,
Butterflies flutter in the sky so blue,
Flowers bloom in all their glory,
Each one so eager to tell its story!
The wind has been all over the world,
And here it comes to unwind, unfurl.
And when at night the land is in darkness,
The stars and moons, they glow with kindness.
The ageless moon begins Her story-telling,
Naughty stars they twinkle, or are they giggling?
The night of wondrous, fabulous fables,
Of mythical beasts and heroic rebels,
It flows along in silvery delights,
Until the sun on its chariot arrives.
Of this land, you’ve heard both night and day,
Now tell me my friend, would you not stay?
Now I must bid farewell until,
We meet in the land, where time stands still.
